DataRill SP, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the data controller for this site and the application — meaning we are the ones who decide what personal data is collected here and why, and the ones you hold to it. Write to hello@sheetvideo.com.

The short version

Your recordings never leave your computer — they are read and exported there. If you have an account, your projects are kept with it — the score, the sync, the look, your clips and the list of your exports, so they are there on any machine you sign in on — and we keep a note of the shape of each export you make, which is how the free length limit gets set honestly. There is no advertising and no cross-site ad tracking. We do use two privacy-conscious analytics tools — Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and counts page views without identifying you, and Mixpanel, which we use for a short, named list of product events (see below) with session recording and autocapture switched off — to see which parts of SheetVideo get used and where the free plan's limits actually bite.

What the application sends

• Your sign-in, if you have an account. Email and password go to Supabase, who host authentication for us, and the app holds the resulting session so you stay signed in.
• A subscription check. While you are signed in the app asks our server whether your subscription is current — on start, every few minutes, and whenever an export begins. That request carries your session and nothing else.
• Your projects, if you have an account. The score, the sync, the look and the clip list of each project, the names of its video and of the files you exported, and a small still frame from the video for your project list. Stored with Supabase. Deleting a project deletes it.
• A note of each export, if you have an account. How long it was, its size and shape, which view it used, whether it was a free or a Pro export, and whether the free length limit stopped it. That is how we know where to set that limit. No title, no file name, no frame of the video.
• Product analytics. The app sends Mixpanel a short, named list of events — a project was created, a score was imported, an alignment finished, an export completed, a free-plan limit was hit, a checkout was started — each with a few technical details (file type, view chosen, export duration, whether it was free or Pro). If you have an account these are tied to its id, so we can see one account's journey through the app; never your email, your file names, or anything from inside your project. Mixpanel is hosted in the EU, and its session-recording and autocapture features are off.
• Nothing else. No recordings, no exported videos, no crash reports, no advertising trackers. Your videos and your exported files stay on your disk.

What the application stores on your machine

In the browser: your settings, your session if you are signed in, a copy of your projects (all of them, if you have no account — that is where a guest’s work lives), and permission handles that let SheetVideo find your video again. Clearing the site’s data in your browser removes them. The earlier desktop version keeps your session encrypted by the operating system instead.

What this website collects

The site has no advertising and no tracking cookies. It uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views and where visitors came from without cookies or anything that identifies you individually, and Mixpanel, EU-hosted, for a couple of named events — a landing page view, and a click on the main “Start a project” / “Open SheetVideo” / “Get Pro” buttons — tagged with which button and page, and the campaign or referrer that brought you here, if any. Signing in stores a session in your browser so you stay signed in. The web host keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

Who processes what

• Supabase — accounts, sign-in, your projects, the subscription record and the export notes.
• Dodo Payments — the payment, the invoice and VAT, as merchant of record.
• Vercel — hosting, and cookieless page-view analytics.
• Mixpanel — the product analytics events described above, hosted in the EU.

Payments

Checkout happens on Dodo Payments, who are the merchant of record and the data controller for the payment. They collect your name, email, billing country and payment details in order to take the payment and issue an invoice; we never see your card details. We receive your email address, the subscription's status and when it renews, which is what switches Pro on for your account.

If you write to support, we keep the correspondence so we can follow it up. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to hello@sheetvideo.com — that reaches DataRill SP, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. For anything relating to a payment, Dodo Payments is the right controller to ask, since they take it and hold the card details.
